Good morning everyone and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Be safe tonight if you are  going to be out and about!  I am heading out to my shop to get some projects finished to share with you...but I wanted to show off some of my favorite cards from Founders Circle (my upupline attended).  These were shared with my Stampin' UP! team and they are wonderful...so I wanted to share them with you!

These are my favorite Halloween and Fall cards....I'm sorry I don't know who created them, so I can't give credit...but they are FANTASTIC!

I have several Christmas cards I will be sharing from Founders Circle too.  They are STUNNING...so be sure to check back in!

I leave you with a VERY IMPORTANT list that I saw on facebook this morning!  ENJOY!

Cheerful Christmas

I told you I'd be back!  Isn't this a great Christmas card!  It is made with the Cheerful Christmas stamp set and with Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.  With one stack and some cardstock...you can make 96 cards!

I really liked some of the simple details....like coloring the Basic Rhinestones with Blendabilities...and I LOVED how the ribbon was layered.

I'm pretty sure I will be using this in one of my workshops...very soon!

Hey...it's Friday tomorrow!

I for one...cannot wait for the WEEKEND!!!

Weekly Deals October 28 - November 3, 2014

Just a quick post to let you know what the weekly deals are!  I do have a card I'm going to share later today that we made at my SU meeting last Tuesday evening.

Newborn King

Good morning....it's a Terrific Tuesday morning...still dark outside!  I've already got my bootcamp in and I ready for my day!  I'm super excited because I'm headed to Carmichael to a SU meeting at my UPUPlines house!  I can't wait to meet the ladies....I've gone one other time, but it's been a couple of years.  Should be a fun night out!

I have a Christmas card to share with you this morning....sorry....I know it isn't even Halloween yet...but I just couldn't wait!

To make this card I used the Bright and Beautiful stamp set and The Newborn King stamp set.  The colors I chose are Smokey Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White and Blackberry Bliss.
I heat embossed the star, the sentiment and the nativity scene with silver embossing powder.  I really love how it turned out!  My original plan was to emboss gold on Very Vanilla....but I didn't have any gold embossing powder...I think I'll order some and give it a try!

Well daylight has arrived (I was sidetracked by breakfast, kiddos, shower, nine year old hair dos....).  I'm headed out to the workshop to make just a few more things to take to my booth...then I'm heading down the mountain!  Hope you all have a SUPER DAY!

I'm gonna have to listen to the Giants play ball on the radio...it will be so nostalgic!   GO GIANTS!!!!

Halloween Fry Box

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  WOW....what a weekend!  The weather up here was crazy at times....LOTS OF RAIN...thank goodness, we need it so much!  My husband was on call...so he worked all weekend....trees had fallen into power lines...so he had to help get the power back on!  Meanwhile, I played in my workshop, watched movies with Adam and Kate and watched a couple of FANTASTIC SF GIANTS games!

One of the things I worked on is a fry box that I'm  sharing with you today.  I've been working on a few things to take to my booth tomorrow as Halloween treats and here's my latest creation!

I used the Fry Box Die along with the Fun Fall framelits for the ghosts and pumpkins.  The ghost was stamped with Versa Mark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The pumpkins were stamped with Versa Mark (for a watermark) and the faces were stamped with black Memento ink.  The moon was made with the Circle framelits set.  I lined the inside of the box with Back to Black designer paper.  The BOO TO YOU is from the Good Greetings stamp set. Now I just need to fill it and it will make a great little gift!  Hope you liked it and that you find time to create today!

Off for a walk now...then house cleaning....then hopefully some creating time! Hope you all have a FANTASTIC DAY!

I'm leaving you today with a quote from Hunter Pence during an interview after last nights win over another great team...the Kansas City Royals.

"Results will cripple you. Focus on your effort, focus on your preparation and focus on your intent."

Sleepless in Weaverville brings about a new Curvy Keepsake Box

Yesterday was such a busy day!  Lots of little things.  Spin class, clean up from my retreat (still not finished) it was a minimum day at school...I had to go down the mountain to Redding to deliver orders, get a birthday present for my soon to be eighteen year old, Rebecca, new boots for Kate...hair clips and popsicle sticks for Adam!  Of course I had to get some pizzas...then back up the mountain to watch the World Series!  Darn it...the Giants lost...but today's a new game!

Needless to say...I didn't get a bit of creating done yesterday....UNTIL...I couldn't sleep!  As I tossed and turned...I thought...just get up...read...do something!!  So out to my workshop I went!  So here I am blogging on a Saturday...to show you what I did when I was SLEEPLESS IN WEAVERVILLE!

It's a layered Curvy Keepsake Box.  I cut out a white box and added a Night of Navy around it....so that the stars from the Confetti Stars punch would show through!

Here is a close up of the tag...made with the Good Greetings stamp set, Frosted Sequins, Silver 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Bakers Twine and a snowflake charm.

To get this look I stamped the trees from the White Christmas stamp set in VersaMark on Night of Navy card stock and embossed with White embossing powder.  Then covered entirely with VersaMark and Heat and Stick powder...heated to activate the stickiness, then covered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and heated again to set the glitter.  I did this on all sides of the box.
I also made this card...not sure how I like it....there might be too much going on!  But when I finished I was tired and went to bed....GOOD SLEEP THERAPY~

PUMPKIN FUN!

Today's card is one that I made for my very first facebook hop.  I participated in this hop on Monday with a group of Stampin' UP! gals!  I also used it for a card swap with a group of gals from the Redding area.

You already know that I LOVE the Hardwood stamp!  I hope they NEVER retire it!  The pumpkin was made with the Circle Framelits and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I made the stem with the oval punch.  I cut some strips of paper about 1/8" wide and wrapped them around my piercing tool to curl them.

The sentiment is stamped with the For All Things stamp set and punched with the Word Window punch.  I layered it on top of a piece of Early Espresso card stock punched with the Modern Label punch.  Don't you just love that Chevron ribbon on the side!

OF COURSE I had to add some leaves cut with the Fun Fall framelits and an acorn from the Autumn Wooden Elements....I adore those wooden elements!

The facebook hop was FUN!  Sure hope the gals in the swap like their card...I'll post pictures of the cards they did as soon as I receive them!

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

Here comes Santa Clause and The Masked Crusader

Good morning!  I sure enjoyed the rain yesterday.  We need it desperately here in Northern California!  I have a quick post today for you...I'm headed back to work....just for the day.  Lorna has an appointment in Redding so I am filling in for her this morning!

I came up with this cute Santa Curvy Keepsake Box at my retreat this weekend.

I think he is just adorable!  I'm working on a Mrs. Santa and an Elf this week.  I promise I will have other things going on as well!

I also made this cute little Masked Crusader!

I never quite understood the mustache thing....but I must admit I LOVE it upside down as a mask!  The cape makes him my own little superhero!

Well...off to cook breakfast for the kiddos....hope you join me again tomorrow!

HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!

Ornamental Pine Christmas Card

Good morning everyone!  WOW!  What a weekend!  I had a fantastic retreat!  The ladies were FUN...the weather was beautiful...my husband and kiddos were great helpers with my loading an unloading!   Looking forward to resting today!

I do have a card to share with you today.  I was going to share it last Friday but couldn't get it to work on my laptop at the retreat!  I think I need a teacher!

I made this stamp with the Ornamental Pine stamp set.  I stamped  Mossy Meadow ink on the pine needles and Early Espresso on the branch.  I heat embossed the pine cones with Early Espresso embossing powder.  I finished it off by adding a bow made with the Cherry Cobble 1/2" Seam Binding ribbon and a piece of Burlap "twine".

Now I'm wondering if this one should be my Christmas card.

....DECISIONS...DECISIONS...DECISIONS!

Tomorrow I have a couple of new Curvy Keepsake Boxes to share with you!  I made them at my retreat.  I also made a list of about twenty different ones I'd like to create!  I need more hours in the day!

Have a fantastic day!  If you are in my neck of the woods....ENJOY THE RAIN!

White Christmas and Weekly Deals

Good Morning!  Hope this Tuesday morning finds you happy and healthy!

Today I am going to share a card that I made for a Christmas swap I participated in with my Stampin' UP! team.  I will also be sharing the cards that I received from the swap.  There are thirteen different cards so I will share a few each day!

My card was made using the White Christmas stamp set.  I stamped the two trees on a circle I cut out using my circle framelits in Whisper White.  I used Memento Black ink for the trees and the bird and colored the bird in with a red marker.  I then stamped over the entire circle with VersaMark...topped it with Heat and Stick powder, activated it with my heat gun to make it sticky and finished by covering the entire circle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and heating it again to set the glitter.  It's a BEAUTIFUL technique.  I adhered that circle to a Whisper White base and added a Lost Lagoon piece of card stock (with dimensionals) that I had ran through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  My card base is Slate Gray.  I added some  Frosted Sequins, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones and a sentiment to make it DAZZLING!  I LOVE IT....so worth the work!  I might make this my Christmas card this year!

Here are a some of the cards from the swap!

Here are the Weekly Deals for October 14-20th!

I'm off to get ready for my workshop tomorrow and my retreat this weekend!  Have to clean up from my workshop last night first!  I have so much to do before the Giants game today!  Hope you have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!

Fry Box Creation

Hello everyone!  I hope you ENJOYED every moment of your weekend!
The weather was just beautiful here and the colors are changing!  I LOVE FALL...I think I have mentioned that before!

I have a quick post today....a Fry Box creation that I made this weekend!

I love how it turned out!  It was so easy and quick to make.  First  I made the Fry Box out of Old Olive cardstock. Then I used my Oval framelits to cut my ovals and ran them through the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  Of course I inked them with Early Espresso ink before adhereing them to the Fry Box with Dimensionals!  I decorated with a leaf from the Fun Fall framelits,  wooden leaf from the Autumn Elements, a 1/4" strip of designer paper which I curled with my bonefolder and some Burlap twine.  Look closely and you can see that I also wrapped a piece of Chevron ribbon around the box and tied a bow around it with a piece of Early Espresso cotton ribbon.

I filled it with Ghiradelli Milk Chocolate Mocha squares!

Did I mention that I stopped by the Gharadelli outlet  in Lathrop on my way home from visiting my mom!  I think this will be a definite stopping place now for every trip!  Kathryn enjoyed a Chocolate sundae and I had a delightful iced Mocha!  YUM!!!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
COME BACK TOMORROW TO SEE WHAT I HAVE TO SHARE!

FALL BALL Thank you cards

Good MORNING!  It's Saturday....I know...unusual for me to post on Saturday!   I had this all ready to go for Friday....took my lap top to my moms (I went to celebrate her 83rd birthday).  Somehow I hit a wrong key and my photo disappeared....replaced by some weird set of numbers and letters!  I don't have my photos on my lap top yet...so I could not do a thing!!!!

I have a card I made for a gal that wanted something special to give to her coaches for Fall Ball (baseball).

I was really happy with how it turned out...until I consulted my nine year old daughter.  She saw this photo and said..."the thanks a bunch" looks like it could be a bat"!  WHY didn't I think of that?  I could have cut a bat out with my Cricut and then stamped the sentiment on it!  What a great idea...but I had already mailed them!  Lesson learned....ALWAYS check with the nine year old!

Thanks for stopping by today!  ENJOY your weekend!

I'm gonna be watching the Giants play today...GO GIANTS!!!

Frankenstein

Good Morning!  Hoping you are all having a WONDERFUL day!

Yesterday I worked in my workshop most of the morning with a girlfriend!  I missed you Linda and Laura!  I have another retreat coming up next weekend so I was busy trying to create treat containers to give out each day.  I'm not sure if I'm gonna use one of these, both of these or none of these...but I had FUN!

This Frankenstein was made with the Fry Box Die...I was inspired by some that I saw on Pinterest...but I really wanted mine to have a SQUARE hear...Frankenstein's head is square!  I also wanted his hair to go around the sides.  So I worked and worked and came up with this fellow!   I cut the fry box out in Old Olive card stock.  The hair is a strip of Basic Black card stock cut  1 1/4" by about 8"...which I scored by hand on the die and also hand cut the hair.

The eyes and nose are made with the 1/2" circle punch and the largest hole punch for the pupils.  I drew the stitches and mouth on with my journaling pen and the screw on the sides of his head are made by stacking dimensionals.  I attached three to each other and colored them with black permanent marker and topped it with a 1/2" circle in black card stock!

This Frankenstein is made with the Curvy Keepsake Box framelit....one of my FAVORITE tools!  I was inspired by Debbie at Debbie's Designs she has some great ideas!

For my Curvy Keepsake Boxes I really like to use the open part for my detail and I really wanted his hair to go all the way around his head....so that's what I did!

For this Frankenstein I used five dimensionals for each screw...and made them the same way!

Here's how you can do it too!

After punching out your two pieces of Curvy Keepsake Boxes in Old Olive...find a scrap piece of black card stock...at least three inches wide!  Follow the photos below!!!

Cut two of each end...
you'll end up with this!

Hand cut your spiky hair....
adhere before putting you box together!

VIOLA!...after adding the details...you are finished!

Let me know which one you like best and help me decide which one to give to my ladies by commenting below!

MARY Shelley, author of Frankenstein, was born on August 30, 1797.  The novel resulted from a competition between Mary, her future husband Percy Bysshe Shelley, Lord Byron and the writer John Polidori to see who could write the best horror story.  Frankenstein has inspired more than 130 films, starting with the silent Frankenstein in 1910!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

It's March 17th.......

Have a FANTASTIC day and ENJOY the corned beef & cabbage!
