Definitely Dahlia

Good Morning everyone! The weekend is you have BIG PLANS??? I'll be working in my shop ALL DAY on Saturday!! It's all painted and now I'm putting it back together! I have to finish by Sunday because I'm having an Essential Oils Make-n-take class after church on Sunday! Thank goodness I'm not in charge...I just have a great place to host the classes! Today...I'm headed to Mount Shasta to watch my son play baseball...but first, I want to share another April workshop card!

For this card I used the Definitely Dahlia stamp. My card base is Whisper White and I cut a slightly smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp on...4 1/8" X 5 3/8". I used Calypso Coral ink and stamped off the side of the paper. I used my Elegant Butterfly punch (which sadly is retiring) to cut a black butterfly and another cut from Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper. I attached the black butterfly with dimensionals and glued the dp butterfly down only in the middle.  Of course I had to add some bling to the card and the butterfly!  The sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. Clean and simple look!

I also stamped off the inside of the card and added some more bling! Isn't that a BEAUTIFUL color!  My thought was to grab some envelopes before I left for my workshop so my ladies could stamp off on a corner of an envelope too...wouldn't that be cute!?! Dang if I didn't forget to grab them! That will have to be for another project!

Well...that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and letting me share what I love to do with you!  ENJOY every moment of your weekend!!!

It's a Good Day!

Hello everyone! What a BEAUTIFUL day it is today! I'm lovin' the sunshine and blue's especially gorgeous as a backdrop to the snow covered mountains! I hope you all are having a wonderful day too!! I want to share another April workshop project with you today!

This card is created with several retiring products! Mint Macaron, a 2015-2017 In Color is retiring May 31st. I hate to see it go, but the new In Colors are beautiful too! I embossed a piece of it using the Elegant Dots embossing folder and attached it to my card base with dimensionals. Next, I attached the Lace Doily (retiring and ON SALE!!) with a dimensional. The leaves are cut in Tip Top Taupe using the Stylish Stems Framelit dies. Last I used my 1 3/8" Circle punch for the Mint Macaron center, added some Linen Thread behind it. The sentiment is from the Best Birds stamp set and is cut out using my 1 1/4" Circle punch!

It's such a BEAUTIFUL card...I hope it inspires you to CREATE!

Well...that's it for today! THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by! Have a fantastic rest of your day! Hope you'll come back tomorrow for more inspiration!

Celebrations Duo Birthday Card

Hello there!  It's a beautiful sunny day today and I'm enjoying every moment of it! Hope you are as well! Today's card is one we will be making in tomorrow's class! I've been wanting to use this embossing folder for a while's a very cool folder!

I made this card using the HAPPY embossing folder that comes in the Celebrations Duo set. The other folder says CELEBRATE! First I embossed it (it actually debosses the letters) then I used the Happy Celebrations stamp set to stamp over each letter. The colors I chose are Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight! The designer paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. The balloons are punched with the Balloon Bouquet punch and embossed using the Lucky Stars embossing folder. I tied a piece of White Bakers Twine around the bottom of the balloon to finish it off!

Pretty CUTE and BRIGHT birthday card don't ya think!?!?! I hope it inspires you to get your stamps and tools out and ready to use!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a WONDERFUL rest of your day!

Flourish Thinlits and Floral Boutique Designer Paper

Hello Friends! Well...I'm home now! I had a great birthday visit with my daughter and her husband! We had a wonderful dinner at a Louisiana style restaurant in Berkeley called Angeline's and saw a FANTASTIC baseball game! Today, I'm out in my shop putting things away, throwing things away and making a give away pile! The painting is finished so now I need to put it back together! I also need carpet, but I need to get organized FIRST!

I do have a project to share with you today! It's another card that we made at my March workshops! I hope you are INSPIRED to CREATE!!

The base of my card is Whisper White with the first layer being Night of Navy! Next I cut a circle out of a piece of Whisper White cardstock using my Stitched Circle framelits! Be sure to save the CUTE stitched circle for another project! I backed the piece of Whisper White cardstock with a 3 1/4" X 3 1/4" piece of Floral Boutique designer paper so it would show through the circle! I cut the flower using the Flourish thinlits...I LOVE these thinlits! The center is a Metal Rimmed Pearl. You can use any sentiment down in the corner...I needed a sympathy card so that is the sentiment I chose. It's a BEAUTIFUL card don't ya think?! SIMPLE too!

That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping buy! Lots of things are retiring soon so I'll be sending out a list in the next day or sure to sign up for my emails so you don't miss it! I usually only send one a week!!

Easter Message

Hello everyone! WOW! What a rainstorm we had last night! Crazy wind...branches down...but the power stayed on!!! I'm participating in a Facebook Hop today at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time and I wanted to share my creation here first, so you can be sure to join in the hop!  Our theme this month is Easter or Pastels. I chose Easter, because I have NEVER sent an Easter card. Now I have one to send!

This card is made with the Easter Message stamp set. My card base is Soft Suede, with the first layer being Whisper White and next a piece of Cupcakes and Carousels designer paper. This paper reminds me of rays of sunshine and I thought it went perfectly with my Easter...He is Risen theme! I used my Soft Suede and Perfect Plum markers to color the cross stamp, blew on it and stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock. I mounted the stamped image onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock. Last I stamped the sentiment, also from the Easter Message stamp set, in Soft Suede, onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I cut it out with my Oval Stitched Framelit! Before adding the sentiment to my card, I added some linen thread for texture.

For the inside of my card I simply stamped the Palm image in Wild Wasabi and added the sentiment...both are from the Easter Message stamp set!

I really liked the simplicity of this card...I think I'll send it to my pastor and his family!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I hope you follow along on our Facebook Hop! You can get to my Stampin' Up page by clicking on the Facebook icon just to your right if you're looking at my blog! You'll be inspired by all of the creativity!

Enjoy your weekend! See ya Monday!

Lift Me UP!!

Good morning my crafty friends! I hope your day is off to a good start! The last few days have been so busy for me! I feel busier now, with two kids at home, then when I had all seven kids at home! I think I have figured out why though! My husband has been down for the count SICK and I don't have any drivers! I loved having drivers...I MISS having drivers at home!  Only a year and a half longer until I have a driver again!

I have another card from my March workshops to share with you today!

The designer paper is from the Cupcakes and Carousels 6" X 6" paper stack.  The clouds and the hot air balloon are cut using the Up & Away Thinlit Dies.  I used the glimmer paper that was from Sale-a-bration and Daffodil Delight cardstock to add color to the balloon. These pieces were cut with the same thinlits! Those Basic Pearls are perfect!

For the inside of the card I used a scrap piece of the same designer paper that I used on the front of the card.  I added another cloud and used the Lift Me Up stamp set for the sentiment!

I just LOVE this card!!!

What a WONDERFUL bundle this is!
Click on the image below to find it in my store!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a BEAUTIFUL rest of your day! I hope it goes smoothly and I hope you find time to create!!

High Tide

YIKES!!! I almost forgot to blog today! I met a dear friend for breakfast...she's leaving for a months vacation...and I had to go into work for a couple of hours! I came home to a sick husband and blogging slipped my mind! I have my March workshop projects to share with you the rest of the week! I hope they get you in the creative mood!

Here's one of my FAVORITE projects! I've been wanting to show my ladies how to use Heat & Stick powder and this was the perfect card!  I used the High Tide stamp set to create the water, the lighthouse, the words and the birds, but first I used it to add sand (yes...that's real sand) to my card! I stamped the sand with VersaMark...applied my Heat & Stick powder, used my heat gun to activate it (make it sticky). I used my heat gun again to set the sand in place.  It turned out perfect! I layered my stamped image on to a piece of Basic Black cardstock, then attached it to my card base. Last, I tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the card.

For the inside of the card I used the Heat & Stick powder again as well as the High Tide stamp set which includes the sand area, the birds and the grass!  It's a FABULOUS stamp set...I just LOVE IT! I hope you love it too!

Click on the photo below to find this stamp set in my SU store!

That's it for today! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a WONDERFUL rest of your day!

Flourish Thinlits (REDO)

Hello everyone! Hoping all is well with you. Yesterday was a really tough day for son's roommate was killed in a car wreck on Monday and I found out early yesterday. I couldn't stop crying, let alone blog...but I am here today!

Do you remember this card from a couple of weeks was for a Facebook Hop back on March 7th. I really liked it, but I felt it just needed something more... I decided to re-create it!  The only thing I did differently was dry emboss the Old Olive piece of cardstock with the Elegant Dots embossing folder. Isn't it amazing how one little change can make all the difference!

My card base is 4 1/4" X 11".  My first layer is Old Olive and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". The next layer is Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4". I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut an oval out of the Whisper White cardstock.  Notice that it isn't centered. I placed it more toward the top so I would have room for a sentiment at the bottom. I also changed the sentiment which is from the So In Love stamp set.  I attached the oval cut out with Dimensionals to give the card depth. I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut the BEAUTIFUL floral flourish out in Whisper White card stock. I attached the flourish with Multipurpose glue.  I added several Basic Pearls (instead of Rhinestones) to give it just a bit of ELEGANCE.

I really love how this card turned's much better than the original! It's ALWAYS a work in progress...ALWAYS ways to improve!

Hey...thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY! Take time to tell those you love that you love them today!!!
