Cool Treats, Tasty Treats, Frozen Treats

Hey there!!! Happy Tuesday! Well...I'm gonna enjoy one more day of sunshine before the storms come in tomorrow! Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the snow and rain...but it's great to have a little sun mixed in with it! Even better is going down the mountain and it's 65 degrees...folks are walking...riding their bikes...it is GOOD to get out of the cold for a bit!

I have a FUN card to share with you today! Our team leader posted a SKETH CHALLENGE, and I decided to give it a try! Hope you like it!

Here's the sketch we were challenged to follow!

...and here is the card I came up with!  To start, I turned the sketch on its side. My card base is Whisper White with the first layer in Flirty Flamingo. Another layer in Whisper White holds all the action! First I used Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape as my background. I used the Sale-a-bration FREE stamp set, Avant Garden, to stamp the spotted background in Mint Macaron.  I used the Sprinkles embellishments to add color to those same corners. The HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment is from the Cool Treats stamp set and is stamped in Flirty Flamingo onto a Whisper White oval which was cut using my Stitched Shapes framelits.  The ice cream cone is cut in Crumb Cake, using the Frozen Treats framelits.  The scoop of ice cream is Flirty Flamingo with Chocolate Chip chocolate sauce and a few more of those very cute Sprinkle embellishments!

I added another sentiment to the inside of the card (also from the Cool Treats stamp set), as well as some more Sprinkle embellishments and the same Tasty Treats Washi Tape that I used on the front of the card!
SO CUTE!!!

Well...that's all I have for you today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I have inspired you to find time to create!

Sending Love and Sealed With Love

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you all enjoy your weekend! Can you believe that January is almost OVER! The older I get...the faster time flies!

I have a quick post to share with you today...another one from my January workshops...to get you thinking about Valentine's Day!

This cute little bag is quick and easy to make! You'll need a 6" X 6" piece of designer paper, (I used the Sending Love Designer Paper Pack). It's item #142733, it's $10.00 and it's Stampin' UP!'s most popular item right now! You get 48 double sided pieces of 6" X 6" pieces of paper so you can make 48 of these cute little bags! My daughter and I are going to make them for her class at school and fill them with candy!

To make the bag score your paper at 1 3/8", 2 3/4", 4 1/8" and 5 1/2". Turn the paper and score it at 1 3/8" only.

I used Mini paperclip and tied a piece of Linen Thread around it to close the bag.  I stamped my sentiment using the Sealed with Love stamp set, onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it into a banner.  Next I used a scrap of the Sending Love designer paper to cut another banner and slipped both banners under the paperclip!  CUTE and SIMPLE!!

Here you can see the score lines (a different paper from the same pack) and how I cut the bottom of the bag up to the 1 3/8" score line.  I also cut the small, rectangle corner all the way out!
Just another look at the cuts! Next you just fold on the score lines, fold it and adhere it together.  Fold all the flaps up at the bottom and adhere (I use Tear and Tape for strength). Pinch the bag together at the top and put the mini paperclip on to keep it closed...AFTER you've filled it with your treat...OF COURSE!!!

Well..that's it for today! Have a WONDERFUL weekend, enjoy your family and friends and FIND TIME TO CREATE!!!

BE MINE

Good Evening!! No chance to blog this morning...I spent the day playing with two dear friends in my workshop! I started my Fourteen Days of Love projects that I will be sharing in February! I do have a really cute card to share with you today. We made it at my January workshops!

My cardbase is Whisper White. My first layer is Real Red and I dry embossed it with the Falling Petals (which look like hearts) embossing folder. Next, I cut a 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" square in Whisper White.  I stamped the bee with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Pool Party and Daffodil Delight, then cut the black of the bee with the Detailed Dragonfly thinlit dies.  I glued the body down with Multipurpose glue, leaving the wings unattached.  I stamped MINE using the Labeler stamp set. I used the Project Life Corner Rounder punch to round two opposite corners and layered it onto a 2 3/4" X 2 3/4" piece of Pool Party cardstock whose same corners were also rounded. The cute heart in the bottom corner is cut in Real Red and Crumb Cake using the Love Notes framelit dies. I added a Basic Rhinestone to finish it off!

Isn't this the cutest card! I love how it turned out...hope my honey does too!

Well...that's it for today!! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by to see my creations!

High Tide Sunset

Good morning...hope all is well today! I'm off to work this morning, but before I go I have a project I'd like to share with you!

I've been playing with the High Tide stamp set. It's such a GREAT set. It's a perfect set for encouraging and masculine cards. My inspiration for this card was a photo I saw of a beautiful sunset. It didn't turn out exactly like the photo, but I love it! It was a fun challenge for me! To create this look, I inked my block in Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Pool Party. I spritzed it with water and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the sun using the solid balloon from the Celebrate Today stamp set. I only inked half of it with Daffodil Delight and stamped it just above the water. Next I inked up my clear block again, this time with Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and a bit of Daffodil Delight, spritzed it with water and stamped the sunset, leaving just a bit of room at the top to add some blue sky.  For that bit of blue sky, I just inked my block one more time with Pool Party and a touch of Pacific Point, spritzed and stamped that little space at the top! After the paper had dried, (just a few minutes) I used my High Tide stamp set to stamp the sand and birds in Memento Black as well as the waves in the water with Bermuda Bay ink.

Here's the sunset that inspired me!  I LOVE those vibrant colors! I'm gonna do some more playing...I'll keep you posted!

Well...that's it for today!  Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!  As ALWAYS...thank you for stopping by!

Cupcakes & Carousels Anniversary Card

Hello everyone! I just realized that I had this post in DRAFT mode from Friday...I didn't post on Friday!!! YIKES!!!  Reflecting on my day...I had a lot of errands...a girlfriend came by for a visit after a MONTH long vacation...so awesome to see her!  I remember sitting down to blog...yep...then I went to choose which card I would use in my photo files THEN...it's all a blur...I was SIDETRACKED!  Yes...I saw how UNORGANIZED my photos were and spent the next four hours organizing photos...my husband was working late, the kids were at friends houses...the perfect time to organize photos!  Then...I got the call...the call that my daughter was sick, and throwing up...YIKES!!! I went to pick her up...(barf bowl in tow), got dinner for my son who had since arrived home and NEVER returned to my computer!

So here I am today to share last Friday's post...not because I have to, but because I want you all to know that LIFE GETS CRAZY!!!

I have a BEAUTIFUL anniversary card to share with you today! The card base is Very Vanilla, first layer Basic Black and the next GORGEOUS layer is designer paper from the Cupcakes & Carousels paper stack.  I LOVE THIS PAPER! Next I ran a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock through my Big Shot using the Flutterings embossing folder and matted it onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock! I cut a strip of So Saffron cardstock to stamp the sentiment on. The sentiment is from the Falling for You stamp set! I topped the sentiment with a piece of Vellum. I punched a circle using my 1 3/4" circle punch in Bermuda Bay and then I used my Stitched Circle framelits to cut another circle, just a bit smaller in Vellum to adhere to the top of my Bermuda Bay circle. I adhered the sentiment and the circle to the embossed butterflies using dimensionals!  Last, I punched my butterfly using the Elegant Butterfly punch from the same designer paper as on the card base. I added a few pearls and it was finished! JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!

For the inside of the card, once again I used a piece of the beautiful designer paper form the Cupcakes & Carousels pack.  I used the Elegant Butterfly punch to punch another butterfly, this time in Bermuda Bay and topped it with one punched in Vellum. I stamped the inside sentiment in Memento Black.  It is from the same stamp set as on the front, Falling for You. Of course, I had to add just a few more Basic Pearls!  I hope you like it...I sure do!

Well...that's it for today!  I hope you are inspired to CREATE!  I at least hope that it gets your creative juices going! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

"Make-It Monday" Moon Baby

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was stormy...lots of rain...a little snow...and my daughter had the flu! A good weekend to just stay in and watch some TV. My daughters favorite show is Heartland...a family friendly series!  Well...it's Monday and I have a "Make-It Monday" to share with you today...and boy is it CUTE!!!

"Make-It Monday": Moon Baby card created with NEWStampin' Up! products
All images © 1990-2017 Stampin’ Up!®

Image & page number of the full stamp set shown below the project instructions.

Supplies:
  • Stamp Set: Moon Baby (143082-w or 143085-c)
  • Cardstock and Paper: Pool Party (1222924), Watercolor Paper (122959), Vellum Cardstock (101856), and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (135315)
  • Stampin’ Pads: Basic Black Archival (140931) and So Saffron (126957)
  • Miscellaneous: Watercolor Pencils (141709), Aqua Painters (103954), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372), Layering Circles Framelits Dies (141705), Tree Builder Punch (138295), Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (133739), Pool Party 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon (141691), Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine (134575), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Fine-Tip Glue Pen (138309), Paper Snips (103579), household tape, a hobby knife such as X-Acto and a cutting mat.
Measurements:
  • Pool Party card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded plus a piece 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Watercolor Paper: 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” and 2” x 2” plus a small scrap
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper: about 4” x 3”
  • Twine: about 1-3/4” plus about 4” to tie a small bow
  • Pool Party ribbon: 5”

Instructions:
  1. Stamp moon baby, star from the moon baby image, and the sentiment with Basic Black Archival Ink onto the three sizes of Watercolor Paper taking care to position where you stamp with future die cutting in mind.
  2. Using the Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, and Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencils, lightly color in the stamped images (moon baby and separate star you just stamped). With a light touch of the Aqua Painter, so as to not gush out water, paint within the lines to distribute the pencil color. Set aside to dry. Once dry, cut out moon baby with a large circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Using Paper Snips, cut out the star.
  3. Stamp single star image over sentiment with So Saffron ink then cut out sentiment with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.
  4. Punch 3 clouds each, from the Tree Builder punch, in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the Vellum Cardstock. Adhere the vellum clouds to the back of the glimmer paper clouds, using SNAIL Adhesive, so that the vellum is peeking out at the top to add depth.
  5. Using the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, emboss the 4” x 5-1/4” Pool Party cardstock piece.
  6. Using a hobby knife and a cutting mat, carefully cut on the stitched border of the sentiment piece so that the 3/8” ribbon can slide through – you will probably cut about 5 stitched sections on each side.
  7. Gently slide ribbon through and align so sentiment piece is on the left. Using SNAIL on the back of the ribbon and Watercolor Paper, adhere to the embossed Pool Party piece so that sentiment is about ½” from the left and about ¾” from the bottom. Wrap excess around back and adhere with SNAIL.
  8. Adhere the clouds, with SNAIL, to the embossed piece so the highest two are extending over the edges and making sure to position so they will peek out behind the moon baby later. Trim excess clouds with Paper Snips.
  9. Using the hobby knife, cut a tiny slit just beneath baby’s fist then thread Twine through about ½” and using household tape, tape Twine end to back of baby piece.
  10. Using Fine Tip Glue Pen, draw a thin line of glue down from the baby’s fist then quickly lay down Twine to adhere.
  11. With another dab of glue, take the star from #2 above and adhere to end of Twine so it’s just dangling from the moon baby piece. Tie a ribbon with another piece of Twine and adhere. Let dry.
  12. Using SNAIL, adhere embossed piece to card base.
  13. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere moon baby onto card front, a little to the right and so all three clouds are peeking out.
Here's a look at the stamp set!  SO CUTE!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a FANTASTIC day! Hope you are inspired to CREATE today!!

Love You Lots!

Hello everyone! Well...I made it down the mountain yesterday for my workshop...(NO SNOW!!) and it was FANTASTIC! I had fifteen ladies there...they are so wonderful! It's such a great group! Everything went smoothly...I didn't forget anything (YIPPEE) and I had lunch with a DEAR FRIEND!

I have a card to share with you that we made at the workshop!
This super cute card is made with the Love You Lots Hostess stamp set in the main catalog!  I JUST LOVE IT!!  The card base is Whisper White...first layer Early Espresso, next layer is Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder!

I stamped those CUTE little hedge hogs in Early Espresso and colored the flower in with my Rose Red marker.  The leaf is colored in Wild Wasbi!  I stamped the sentiment in Rose Red as well! The image is layered onto a piece of Rose Red cardstock and then onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.  I punched a 2" circle from my Reagls designer paper pack and cut it in half to add a little color and I added a few Basic Pearls to finish it off!

OF COURSE...I had to add a little bit to the inside of the card so I adhered the other half of that 2" circle...pretty cute isn't it! The other other layers on the inside of the card are Whisper White and Early Espresso!

I REALLY love this set! It is so CUTE...and I don't really do cute very well...but I LOVE THIS!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Enjoy the rest of your day! Hope you find time to create...HOPE I find time to create!

Frozen Treats and Cool Treats

Good Morning everyone! I'm off to Redding today for my workshop! It's suppose to SNOW...so I HOPE I make it over Buckhorn Summit!

Oh man...this set is SO CUTE! This card is made with the Cool Treats Stamp Set (for the sentiment) and the Frozen Treats Framelits. My card base is Whisper White and my first layer is Flirty Flamingo.  I ran it through my Big Shot using the Polka Dot Textured embossing folder.  Next, I cut a circle using the largest Stitched Circle framelit. I attached it with dimensionals.  I cut the ice cream bowl from Pool Party cardstock and embossed it with the Hexagon Dynamic Textured embossing folder. Next, I cut the scoops of ice cream in Flirty Flamingo, Peakaboo Peach and Very Vanilla. Each scoop is topped with Early Espresso chocolate and a Glimmer Red cherry.  I tied a bow around the base of the bowl using white Bakers Twine!  SUPER CUTE!!!

For the inside of the card I simply layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and added it to the card base!  The sentiment is from the Cool Treats stamp set which coordinates with the Frozen Treats framelits.  I dotted my "i" in Birthday with a Basic Rhinestone!  SIMPLE and CUTE!! I want to make a bunch of cute birthday cards and send them to my customers...if they will share their birth dates with me!  This is gonna be a FUN bundle to play with!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a WONDERFUL day...try to find time to CREATE!

High Tide

Hey there!!!! Well...I totally forgot to publish my blog this morning...a simple button that I forgot to push!  YIKES!! Here it is now though!

Today's card is made with the new High Tide stamp set...it's VERY COOL!!  The card base is Whisper White, the first layer is Basic Black and the second layer, which I ran through my Big Shot with the Seaside embossing folder, is Pool Party.  Next I used my largest block as a stamp...I inked it with my Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red markers (brush end), spritzed it with water and stamped onto a piece of Whisper Whited card stock.  I stamped my images...the light house, grass, sand and birds using the High Tide stamp set in Memento Black ink.  I REALLY LOVE this look!  I layered it onto another piece of Whisper White cardstock and then again onto Basic Black...that black totally makes it pop!!! I attached it to the Seaside embossed Pool Party layer with dimensionals!  Isn't it a BEAUTIFUL card!?!?!

Of course...I had to decorate the inside of my card.  I stamped the background just like the front of the cards background...using my inked stamping block, spritzing it and then stamping my image and sentiment in Memento black ink. LOVE...LOVE...LOVE IT!!!

Detailed Dragonfly meets Urban Underground

Good morning....and HAPPY Monday! I'm busy getting ready for my workshop on Wednesday!  I can't wait to see those gals!!! I have a FUN card to share with you today...I REALLY love it!!  Hope you do too!

The base of this card is Whisper White, the first mat is Calypso Coral and the designer paper is from the Urban Underground specialty pack.  I inked up my stamp block with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red markers, spritzed it with water and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I then used my Detailed Dragonfly thinlits to cut out a solid dragonfly.  Next I used the "lacy" dragonfly thinlit to cut the Basic Black top. Of course I had to add some bling, Basic Rhinestones, to the body of the beautiful creature! I matted my dragonfly onto a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock that I had already ran through my Big Shot using the Hexagons Dynamic Textures embossing folder.  The sentiment I chose is from the oh so cute Designer Tee stamp set (FREE during SALE-A-BRATION) with a $50 purchase. I punched it out using the Classic Labels punch.  I matted the sentiment onto a STRETCHED piece of Basic Black cardstock that I punched with the same punch, cut it in half and layered in underneath each end.

The inside of the card is very simple...a piece of the same designer paper mounted onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock added to the bottom of a piece of Whisper White cardstock which is mounted onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  I probably should have added some bling inside as well! Still can...haven't mailed this one yet!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share what I love to do!  I hope you are inspired to get into your craft room...or special space and create!!

Special Reason Card

Good Morning! Happy Friday!!! I'm so glad you stopped by today! I have a card to share with you. It's a card I made last night for a 12 Days of January I am participating in with my Stampin' UP! group. Of course...those of you who know me...I fly by the seat of my pants often...so I was out there at 5:30pm making this card!  THANK GOODNESS for LEFTOVERS!!! Here's that card!

The base of this card is Bermuda Bay. Next mat is Whisper White and then the designer paper is from the Cupcakes & Carousels 6" X 6" paper pack.  I REALLY LOVE this designer paper! I used my Stitched Oval framelits to cut a piece of Soft Sky cardstock on which I stamped my sentiment in Memento Black. The sentiment is from the Designer Tee stamp set that is FREE with a $50 purchase during SALE-A-BRATION. Next, I stamped my flowers and leaves using the Special Reason stamp set in the Occasions Catalog and cut them out using the coordinating Stylish Stems framelits! The colors of my flowers are Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron. The color of the leaves, both stamped and cut, is Wild Wasabi.  I attached all of the flowers with dimensionals and the lacy leave with Multipurpose glue!

Of course, I had to decorate the inside of my card. I made the flower using, again, the Stylish Stems framelits.  The shadow is the inside of one of the stamps from the same Special Reason stamp set...DON'T THROW THOSE PIECES AWAY! The sentiment is from that same FREE stamp...Designer Tee!  I hope you are inspired to CREATE!

Thanks again...BUNCHES...for stopping by today! Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

Hey, Chick!

Good morning everyone! The sun is out again, blue skies and that FULL moon last night...GORGEOUS!  It is a bit chilly with no cloud cover, but SO NICE to have dry weather...for a bit! I was able to play in my workshop yesterday...I LOVE my workshop! I have been so blessed by my husbands building talents! Anyway...here's a card I created while I was out there. It's made with the Hey, Chick stamp set that you get FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration! I hope you like it...this is one of my FAVORITE sets!
I started with a Whisper White card base, the first mat is Calypso Coral and the second mat is Soft Suede ran through my Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder. Next I stamped the background image from the Tie Dyed stamp set onto a piece of Crumb Cake cadstock and matted it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the CHICKEN in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White and punched it out using my 1 3/8" circle punch and matted it to  a 1 3/4" Early Espresso Circle. I used my Calypso Coral marker to color in the feathers...such a wild look! The sentiment...hey, chick...is from the same stamp set and is cut out using my Classic Label punch. I used the same punch to cut another label in Early Espresso to back the sentiment! I finished it off by tying a piece of Calypso Coral Thick Bakers Twine around the label (sentiment) and fringing the edges...hoping it would go with the CRAZY FEATHERS! If you look close...I also added a star from the Urban Underground embellishments!
Isn't this a SUPER CUTE card?  I LOVE how it turned out! That Tie Dyed background is gonna be SUPER versatile!

Well..I hope you are inspired to get out there and create today! I'm off to the post office, work and lunch with my neighbor! Have a FANTASTIC day and THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!

Baby Bear Card

Hello!  Good AFTERNOON! Oh my goodness...it's so beautiful here today....I had to get out and go for a walk...the SUN IS SHINING!!! Don't get me wrong...I love the rain and I am SO VERY THANKFUL for the rain...but I'm thrilled to see the sun today!

I do have a card to share with you...another baby card...or teddy bear lover card!

For yesterday's card I used the Baby Bear stamp set for the sentiment and I realized that I have never used this set to make a card...so I decided to play! Remember yesterday I used the Polka Dot embossing folder?  I used it again for this card, but turned the Blushing Bride cardstock over after I embossed it so the circles are indented.  Why did I do this you ask? Well, I accidentally sat it down in Memento Black ink and I didn't want to waste it...so I turned it over.  Really...there is no front or back, it's personal choice!  The bear was stamped in three steps. I used Crumb Cake ink with stamp one (they are numbered), Soft Suede for stamp two and Early Espresso for stamp three.  I tied a bow with Blushing Bride 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and attached a Sending Love embellishment with Linen Thread! I think it is so cute! Guess what...I can use it too...I have another baby gift to send! My older kids friends are starting their families! So exciting to see them grow up in to wonderful adults!

Well....that's it for today! I hope that you too have been able to enjoy a little sunshine today! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!

Love You Lots Baby Card

Good morning friends!! It's raining hard here in Weaverville...a nice day to have a fire, a cup of hot chocolate and read a good book...or drool over my Occasions Catalog and all the free things I can get from Sale-a-bration.  I'm gonna do just that...after I blog, clean up from home group last night...go in and pay some bills at work...LIFE sure gets in the way sometimes! hehehe

I have a friend who had her second baby...a little girl. I found the cutest quilt made from old chenille pieces...SO VERY CUTE...and I wanted to make her a card!  I made it...and want to share it with you today!

I really LOVE how this card turned out!  The adorable frog is from the stamp set Love You Lots...it's a hostess stamp set that you can choose when you host a workshop. The sentiment is from the Baby Bear stamp set.  I stamped with Memento Black ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock which I mounted onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I sponged in the frogs eyes using Whisper White ink and a Q-tip (I would have used my white chalk marker, but I couldn't find it)! I added the black pupils back in with my Project Life journaling pen. The base of the card is Whisper White with the first mat being Blushing Bride. I ran this piece of cardstock through my Big Shot using my Polka Dot embossing folder. This stamp set has SO MANY POSSIBILITIES...I'll be playing with it some more!

Well...that's it!  SUPER CUTE card isn't it?!?!  I had FUN making it!  I hope you have a WONDERFUL day...and that you find time to CREATE!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
