14 Days of Love - Day 12

Hey there and HAPPY Wednesday!  I'm hoping you all are having a great day so far!  I have a busy morning, but then I get to come home and create....well, FIRST I have to clean up my shop!  YIKES!!! I wish I was Jeanie and could just blink my eyes and it would all be organized!

I have Day 12 of my 14 Days of Love projects to share with you today!  ENJOY!!

Today's project is SIMPLE! I had a bunch of SU test tubes that NEEDED to be used.  We don't sell them any more except in the Something Good to Eat Paper Pumpkin refill kit. If you don't want the kit you can order test tubes on SimleAmazon!  I simply wrapped a piece of Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape around the test tube. Next I wrapped a piece of Tear & Tape around the tube just below the washi tap. This is to hold my Metallic Edged Berry Burst Ribbon in place.  I just tied it into a knot.  I stamped the BE MINE heart and cut it out with the Sure Do Love You Bundle.  I attached a wooden heart from the Hearts and Stars wooden element with piece of Linen Thread. I just tied it around the knot of the Berry Burst ribbon! I was gonna fill it with Red Hots...but it won't really match the ribbon so now I'm thinking I'll fill it with candy coated sunflower seeds!

I sure hope you're having FUN with these projects! I can't wait to start putting them out for my husband!  Thanks so much for following along!  I'd LOVE to hear what you think so leave a comment or shoot me an email!  HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!!

Hello everyone!  It's been a busy morning at my house...bootcamp, video created, kids to school, MIL to the doctor and now I have a new class coming!  I'm so excited and thankful that everything went smoothly!  It's time for Tuesday's Tip and I have another FUN, QUICK, EASY treat holder I want to show you how to make!  It's Day 11 of  14 Days of Love projects!!

Isn't this a great treat holder...even a kid can do it!  HINT...this is a great project for a kids class valentine....they can make it themselves and have FUN doing it!

All you need is some pretty designer paper....I used Foil Frenzy!  Cut a 6" x 2 1/2" piece and score it at 2 1/2" and 3 1/2".  Adhere you candy inside.  I used Berry Burst Metallic Edged ribbon to tie it together and added this cute heart with Linen Thread!  The heart is cut with the Lots of Love Box Framelits and is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder!

I hope you'll give it a try!

14 Days of Love - Day 10

Good morning everyone! WOW! The weekend went FAST! How was yours?  I didn't get any creating done...YIKES...I'm a little behind.  I wasn't going to do that this year...but I was busy with a Celebration of Life on Saturday and my daughter came for a visit on Sunday....couldn't say no to any of those! Sometimes life just happens and you just have to roll with it!

Today I have Day 10 of my 14 Days of Love projects to share with you!

This is SUPER SIMPLE!!! I found these cute mini metal buckets on SmileAmazon.  I filled it with Silver Ready Shreddie and a few chocolate caramel balls. I tied two bows around the handle, one piece is Blushing Bride 1/4" Double Stitched ribbon and the other is Smoky Slate 1/2" Gingham Ribbon. I glued a wooden heart from the The Hearts and Stars Wooden Elements to a Corrugated Tag Element and also tied it to the handle using White Bakers Twine.  I didn't tie it tight, but left it hanging...you can see it on the right.  I thought I had a close up photo, but I couldn't find it!  Anyway...super easy and quick treat holder! My husband will love it!!

That's it for this morning! I have a hair appointment, then I have to get ready for a small class tomorrow and we host home group tonight! I was gonna try to get to Redding, but that will have to wait until tomorrow! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a FANTASTIC day...and find a bit of time to create if you can!

14 Days of Love - Day 9

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY...YAY!!! Well, the snow has melted (mostly) and the kids are back to school so I have the house all to myself! I'm heading out to my workshop in a few to make a photo collage for a friends celebration of life on Saturday. I LOVE looking at all of the photos!  Before I get busy, I want to share today's treat holder!

I know  you've all seen the CUTE little 4oz coffee cup but I have never played with them!  The cups are from SmileAmazon (if you use SmileAmazon, Amazon donates a percentage of your purchases to your favorite charity...mine is St. Jude's)!  I also found a sleeve die at The Stamp Doctor to cut the sleeve for around the cup! I'm sure you've figured out by now that my 14 Days of Love class centers around the Painted with Love designer paper! Every project includes this paper...YES...I LOVE IT!!

The sentiment is from the Bloomin' Love stamp set and is stamped on a Powder Pink heart cut with the Mini Treat Bag thinlits...love the shape of this heart. The small Berry Burst heart is cut with the Lots to Love Box framelits. The designer paper has so much going on that I wanted to keep the embellishments simple...a couple of hearts and a rhinestone...CLEAN, SIMPLE and CUTE!!! I'm gonna fill this LOVE CUP with chocolate covered coffee beans...aren't I clever...hehehe!!

Well...I'm off to create my collage! HAVE a FABULOUS weekend!  THANKS SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY!!!

14 Days of Love - Day 8

Good Morning...good morning...good morning!  Hey...it's been snowing since 4am here in Weaverville and it's OH SO BEAUTIFUL! We've only gotten about 4 inches of snow, but the roads are really slick so they cancelled school! Kate's baking cupcakes and Adam's hanging with me...playing fetch with Millie! My husband was called out at 2am but just got home...YAY!  He's NEVER home when it's snowing because the power always goes out somewhere in Trinity County! I just this minute got a call from another son. Seth, he has to come this way for work...and he's bringing Clyde and Chester (his bulldogs) to see their first snow! I'm HAPPY as a clam!

It's Day 8 of my 14 Days of Love treat holders...this one is FUN and EASY!!!

This treat holder is a decorated Mini Pizza Box. You get eight of them for $6.00 and you can find them in my Stampin' UP! store...item# 144645.

Of course I used Painted with Love designer paper.  I cut a 3 1/4" X 3 1/4" piece and adhered it to the top of the pizza box. I used a large gold doily for my next layer.  I cut a Berry Burst heart using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit dies. The sentiment is from the Sure do Love You stamp set. It is stamped on Powder Pink cardstock with Memento Black ink. It is cut out with the Lots of Love framelit dies!

A cool thing about these boxes is that they have a coating on the inside so I plan to fill my with two sugar cookies (my husbands favorite cookie) and the grease won't go through the box. He's gonna LOVE this treat!

That's what I've got for you today! I'm off to watch a movie with the family...weird at 9:51 in the morning but so much fun!  We have a cozy fire, popcorn and we can watch it snow as we watch our movie! THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!

14 Days of Love - Day 7

Hello everyone! How's life treating you today? I hope all is well and that you'll be able to carve out a little bit of time to create! It's raining here with expected snow tomorrow. Oh...I hope we get a BUNCH of it! I had FUN at my last 14 Days of Love class in Redding yesterday...such wonderful ladies! I truly do love sharing what I love to do with them!

I have Day 7's project to share with you today! I hope it helps get those creative juices flowing!

This simple Clear Tiny Treat Box is filled with chocolate kisses.  I wrapped a 1 1/2" X 8" piece of Painted with Love designer paper around the outside of the box. I know I've told you already...but I LOVE this paper! I used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and my BigShot to cut the word LOVE and added it to the front of my box. It is topped with a gold doily from the Metallic Foil Doilies pack and Mini Gift bow. If you don't have any doilies you can use your Starburst punch or a favorite framelit and gold foil paper to cut a different topper.  Yes...I ran out of doilies and my order didn't arrive in time for yesterday's class! Another FUN idea one of my gals had at class yesterday was to put the designer paper on the inside. I LOVE it when the gals at my classes change things up and make things their own! It's INSPIRING to me and helps me think out of the box!

That's it for today! Isn't that a FUN treat! I know my husband will LOVE it!  I set his treats by the coffee pot after he goes to bed at night so he wakes up to a LOVE TREAT each morning! Another idea was shared yesterday and I think it is BRILLIANT! She suggested a scavenger hunt on the 14th that takes him to all of his treats! HOW FUN IS THAT?!! It's also a great work around if you can't get all the treats made by February 1st....gives us more time to prepare! YAY...a win win!!! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!
