"Make-It Monday" Animal Outing

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a FANTASTIC weekend and that you are well! I'm safe...the fire is still moving slowly in my direction.  We've been out of power a lot and honestly my mind has been elsewhere so I didn't get any blogging done last Thursday or Friday!  My husband (a power lineman) has been working a ton to restore our power every time it goes out, my son-in-law is a power lineman working in Redding to help restore the power and my son is a lineman working in Mendocino restoring the power too.  A 21 year old apprentice lineman was killed on Saturday in Redding...it hits so close to home and my heart aches for his family.  The power is on for now though and I'm taking a moment to blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'm gonna try to get a video made this evening for tomorrow's Tuesday's Tip...but right now I'm going with my kids that are home for a visit to a swimming hole.  Two of my sons are hope...we were suppose to be on a family vacation in Lake Almanor but that all changed when the fire started and the power went out!!

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Animal Outing (CM 146600 or WM 146597)
• Card Stock – Thick Whisper White (140272); Whisper White (100730); Basic Gray (121044)
• Stamp Pads – Memento Ink (132708)
• Miscellaneous – Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (DSP)  (146902); Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (145058); Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (144597); Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (144603); Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Dark (144577);  Stampin' Dimensionals (104430); 1 3/8” Scallop Circle Punch (146139); 1 ¼” Circle Punch (119861); Leaf Ribbon (146905)

        
Measurements:  

• Thick Whisper White:  8 1/2” x 5 1/2” – scored at 4 ¼” – this is your card base    
• Whisper White:  3 ¼” x 5 ½”  and  scrap for greeting
• Basic Gray:   scrap for scallop circle
• DSP:  1” x 5 ½”                

        
Instructions:

1. Stamp the rhino using Memento ink onto the lower right corner of the smaller Whisper White cardstock.
2. Color in using Stampin’ Blends
3. Add DSP strip down the left side of the card base
4. Add the stamped and colored white panel to the card base, using Dimensionals and lining it up with the left side of the card base.
5. Stamp greeting using black ink onto the scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punch it out using the 1 ¼” Circle Punch.
6. Add this to the gray scallop circle.
7. Trim off three leaves from the Leaf Ribbon and add them to the back of the greeting using Mini Glue Dots.
8. Add greeting to the card front using Dimensionals.
